I love this place! The food is always delicious. The country style steak tastes just like my mother’s did and is probably my favorite with either rice & gravy or homemade mashed potatoes & gravy. The Mac & Cheese is excellent. Southern comfort food is what you’ll get. The staff is outstanding, so nice and friendly from those who take your order to the cashier. Whether you dine in or take out, you’ll be treated with Southern hospitality!
They were able to increase take out during the pandemic. Food and service still 100%.
Today was my first visit to C&H Cafeteria and I was not dissatisfied. The Fried Chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Baby Limas and Creamed Corn was delicious! The Strawberry Shortcake was excellent! I highly recommend C&H Cafeteria for your next great meal!
My husband and I ate there for the 1st time. We were in Durham for an appt. and I searched for somewhere to have lunch. I saw the reviews for C&H Cafeteria so we gave it a go. I'm so glad we did because the food was delicious with large portions and the staff was exemplary! The apple pie was a BONUS! Hubby was so impressed that he ate a piece there and I got a slice to go ud83dude01
You cannot beat the price and the variety of food. Great place to hop to during lunch. You never have to wait in line too long and the food is decent.
