North Beach Campground

Right on the beach. Nice people. This is mainly a trailer park with a few RV spots for travelers. The general store was well stocked and had a lot of fishing supplies. Gas prices were reasonable.

Camped in camping spot M right behind the pool and right in front of the store. $42 for the night, great price for a weekend. Store has everything stocked from tackle, groceries, beer, and beach toys. The grass also has a very nice taste to it, I suggest licking it if you get a chance!

We came to tent camp on the beach, and so did Hurricane Teddy. The owner was so kind, allowing us to move our site to the dry, grassy area of the campground for FREE until hwy12 reopened. The two tent sites are right behind the sanddunes to the ocean and they were amazing, if the wind was whipping with gale force and the high tides weren't demolishing to the entire town. The bathrooms are clean and the showers have hot water. The convenience store is fully stocked and has a little section dedicated to the history of the Midgett famliy and the coast guard ship named after them; very cool information. We cannot thank the owners enough for their hospitality and generosity. What was supposed to be 2 nights ended being 5!! Thank you so very much for giving us a refuge from the storm and the supplies to enjoy it.
