A true hidden gem. Boat ramp access and dock for small boats with trolling motors, canoes or kayaks. Park open during daylight hours. Mill Pond is around 100 acres in size. Rocky Hock Creek flows down to the Chowan River. Both the Mill Pond and the Creek can be accessed from boat ramp. Good bird watching. Is a NC Birding Trail site. Small boardwalk over marsh. Remnants of the mill and spillway are interesting. Covered pavilion. Primitive camping. Unpaved parking for approximately 10.
