Tried a couple times. The service and decor was very nice. Wish I could say the same for the food. Have tried two of my favorites, chicken salad and the hot dog. Chicken salad had strong onions in it and the hot dog was comparable to one from a convenience store. The slaw tasted store bought and tasted nothing but beans in the chili. It looked like it had been thrown together in a hurry with the toppings not covering the the whole top of the hot dog. Really expected better pride made food. Especially for the price and type of place. They are big on onion in their sandwiches, if you're into onions. Sorry, not a big fan. Will give the cookies 5 stars. Delicious soft baked chocolate chip. All the baked goods looked really good.

Outstanding homemade weekly lunch and dinner menu. Everything is fresh and homemade. The desserts are as creative as they are delicious: Sundrop and Cheerwine cakes, gluten-free brownies and other peanut butter and oatmeal raisin cookies; traditional Southern pecan pies, Red Velvet cake with buttery icing. This is my favorite place to eat. I go here as much for the community and company. It is family-owned and the menu and desserts are put together by an inspired baker who loves what she does. The Friday night chicken pie is wonderful: homemade crust. Sides of green beans and coleslaw and an iced tea, all for under $10.00. You can also order an entire pie to bring home or give to someone on a birthday night or a potluck.

What a hidden gem. I have lived in hickory for 5 years but today I found this quaint little eatery. I had an amazing quesadilla and an iced coffee..The service was fast and friendly. I will be going back often!!

My wife and I thought we would try the shop out since we haven't gotten to go anywhere since our baby was born 3 weeks ago.nnThe chocolate espresso muffins and the lemon tart were good.nnHowever, we also got 2 red velvet and 2 lemon cupcakes which were horrible and must have been at least 4 days old. They looked good but icing and cupcakes were hard and dry. Really had hoped for more from a local small business.
