Sunshine Aviation

Had my Cessna 210 painted by this company. All looked good when I picked up the airplane. But after a short flight to refuel the airplane, I noticed tape blowing out of my cowling louvers. They forgot to remove the tape inside the cowling.nNext leg ATC couldnt see me on radar. After landing I found my transponder antenna had blown off the plane. Upon further inspection, It was obvious that the antenna was broken off and glued back on with RTV.nI also had several inspection panels with screws missing. Upon further investigation, I noticed again RTV was used to glue screws in.nAlso notice that the pilot seat, which is leather, had a razer cut down the side, apparently from when they were removing the paper used to shield cabin from overspray. The owner of Sunshine aviation did order another seat cover but wont even talk about the other things.nFrom what I understand, Sunshine Aviation is no longer in business at least in Granada, MS. He is now operating in Thompkinsville, KY.nI will not take my plane back to them for touch ups. Instead I have asked Jim , the owner, for 4 cans of touch up paint. One can for each color.nIts been over a year and I'm still waiting.nMy recommendation to others is to find a local paint shop with a good reputation. It may cost you more but its not worth headache of having to deal with a shop that won't return your call or do what was promised.
