Beautifully Macabre (02/01/2021)
The African pharmacist is very very rude. He flip flops on how helpful and unhelpful he wants to be. All other pharmacists at this location have no problem having my prescriptions ready as requested by a specific time, but the African guy quickly cops an attitude with you just for asking questions. Take your business to a different cvs.

I placed a request for a prescription refill via the CVS app on 10/09. On 10/13 I checked the status of my refill on the app and it said it was in process. It seemed like an excessive amount of time for a refill so I decided to call the pharmacy to find out what was going on. After being on hold 32 minutes, I drove to the pharmacy. There was 1 person in the drive through, but I decided to go in and speak with a manager. I was greeted immediately. I asked the person if they were having problems with their phone because I had been on the hold more than 37 minutes at that time. I let her listen to the hold music and showed her my phone so she didn't think I was exaggerating. She proceeded to tell me they couldn't answer the phone because they were 5 days behind. I asked her about my prescription. She said it wasn't ready. I proceeded to ask what the problem was since I had requested the refill several days prior. Again she stated that they were 5 days behind. At that point she offered to expedite my prescription and said it could be ready in 15 minutes. I asked how is a pharmacy that is open 24 hours behind 5 days on prescriptions? I was told they were behind due to Covid and because they were short handed. To a customer that sounds like an excuse. I was aggravated beyond words because I had just wasted nearly an hour of my time being on hold and waiting for a prescription that should have been ready days prior. The question is how long would I be waiting for that prescription if I didn't go up there and complain about it? That is unacceptable! Prior to transferring my prescription is to CVS because it was more convenient I used Walmart and Walgreens. Anytime I requested refills I could pick them up within 24 hours, often times, sooner unless they had to be special ordered. Every order I have placed with CVS takes a minimum of 2 or 3 days. For the life of me I can't understand what take so long. If they are shorthanded hire more people. All I know is if they don't start taking care of the customers they have there will be no customers to help.

I really struggled to give this store 2 stars. The store itself is excellent but pricey as most pharmacy stores are. My problem is with the pharmacy department. Usually the customer service is excellent although I had a minor issue today. The problem is that pharmacy service is WAY too slow and it's not because of the staff. Staffing is WAY too low for the volume of prescriptions they fill. I often wait on hold 30 min or more. If I don't come to the store and wait for my prescription to be filled (which takes 45 min), it will take 24 hours for a new prescription to be filled. The delay caused me to end up in the ER with my last new prescription. These problems are not unique to this store. In fact, if it wasn't for the dedication of the staff at this store, the situation would be worse. I wrote a letter to their corporate office about these issues as well.
