I was on my way to the Lake of the Ozarks and wanted a break from driving. Found this place on Campendium. I ended up staying 3 nights instead of one because it was so comfortable. There was firewood everywhere. Full hookups for under $20. And the owners were very generous in giving me info about the area. Thank you! 5 stars!

This was such a lovely and peaceful campground. Denise was incredibly hospitable and resourceful as was a really kind neighbor who lives there full time saying if we needed anything if Denise was not around to please let him know! Truly all around kind people and great campground...

Had a really good, relaxing time at Deer Run this past Memorial weekend. We were able to completely disconnect from the world, sleep under the stars, and get some rest. Made our way to Osceola to buy some good cheese, and to Truman Lake to hang out and fish.nnThe owners are fantastic. Super friendly, make their rounds every morning and evening talking to all guests, but without being intrusive. They set you up nicely with a picnic table and a fire ring once you arrive, and make sure you have everything you need.nnThe place is very nice. Nothing spectacular but, then again, spectacular isn't why you go to a campground. It had everything we needed; the bathrooms were cleaned daily and stayed clean; the showers were comfortable and well lit.nnDefinitely will consider Deer Run RV Park and Campground for future camping trips. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Very small and nice family-owned Campground. Owners are amazing people so friendly and outgoing. Campground is in the middle of Renovations but still amazingly peaceful even on Memorial Day weekend. Clean showers with hot water very nice bathroom recently updated. Small pond on premises for you to fish. Nice walking trail cut and maintained. All in all I will be coming back to this park hands down the best part that I have been to in many years.
