Float Trip, didn't camp. The float trip was 5 miles down the river. The water was so clear you could see everything, turtles, fish, tadpoles and frogs! The water was cool but refreshing as the day got hot. The river was a little crowded, there are several companies that do float trips in this part of the river. Even with the large number of people, the river was clean! 5 miles of floating and I only saw 1 beer can at the bottom if the water.nWater levels were down and everyone got stuck in shallow water a few times but no one can control the weather. Overall it was a good family trip, bring sunscreen!

Great camp. River front area is very nice. Owners are not very friendly and the campfire wood they sell is never seasoned EVER!! Buy your wood somewhere else before arrival. Also NO dogs allowed in their rafts. Be prepared to be warned repeatedly if you have a dog that they are not allowed in rafts. Just look at the DOG policy listed on their website. Someone wrote a 5 page essay some dog hater typed up and posted to your website. It’s worth a look just for a laugh. We have been renting 4 to 5 full hook up sites every year before the 4th of July just to get the season warmed up. We are all taking our business elsewhere. The people are very rude here and the dog policy deal was the last straw.

I've been camping here for years and look forward to it everytime. The camp grounds are always very clean and nice. The facilities are cleaned regularly. This is a great place to take the family, they make sure to enforce the quiet times. The staff is very friendly and responsive to any issues. If you want to take a good family trip this is the place to go.

Terrible customer service. We booked two 6-man rafts online, but their system had some sort of glitch. This not only over charged us, but it only reserved two inner tubes for our 9 people. When bringing this to the co-owner Chris, she became extremely rude to us and said it was our fault for booking wrong and she was not going to give us a refund ($329 for two inner tubes). She also acted as if she couldn’t see where we paid and another young girl behind the counter called her out on it. My family has floated the river for years and ever since Twin Rivers switched owners we have been going to Parks Bluff. This isn’t the first time they have tried to screw us out of money. If you want to float the black river, go to Parks Bluff up the road. Amazing customer service and much more organized. If Twin Rivers is your only choice, then make your reservations over the phone because of their website issues. Overall, if they make a mistake be prepared for them to tell you it is your fault and not theirs.

Spacious camping area with lots of shade. Sites were basic but had all that we needed. Not crowded during the week but probably would be on summer weekends with floaters.
