Franklin Floats is number 1. Bob and family are truly nice friendly real people. Been going to lesterville since the mid 70's always have went to Bob's. Now my kids and grandkids go there. Nice river and have never been disappointed.

This was my first float trip and they made it amazing! They was so helpful so friendly and made it as care free as it can be! Great price this was just an amazing time!!

My family and I have floated with Bob for the past three years and we won’t go to another outfitter. Simply put, he’s a good dude. Every experience on the Black River has been excellent with his team. I called him last night to get a status update on his operation and he told me that they weren’t operating at the time. He thoroughly outlined the steps he was taking to ensure that all of his customers were safe when the time comes that it is truly safe to open his business back up. His competitors may open up early with half measures, putting their clientele in danger. not Franklin - he’ll take of you - he truly cares. Check in with him over the coming weeks, trust him, he knows the Black river and the bigger picture. He deserves your business.

14 of my teacher friends and I floated using Franklin Floats yesterday. We have been loyal customers for the last 3 years.nnThe float went fine until everyone was on the bus and the driver (owner) noticed the cooler cover on the cooler tube was missing. We honestly had no idea what he was talking about. He said we would have had to deflate the cooler tube, take the cover off and had to be hiding the cooler cover somewhere. He told us we STOLE it. He was IRATE! Later, we did discover that the tube initially had the cover and must have gone missing during the float. We are wondering if the sudden cool down loosened the cover and it came off in a tree somewhere on the river. This seems to have happened to another person, see their review.nnHe left the bus and came back and said angrily, “Any thoughts??” We all just looked at each other because we knew we hadn’t stolen anything and had no idea what he was talking about. The drive back was frightening as he was flooring the bus around curves and over bumps jostling everyone around.nnMy friends offered to pay for the cover because frankly we were all SCARED and wanted to get out of there. Even after offering to pay he continued BADGERING us. I finally told him he was being DISRESPECTFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. My friends ended up paying $100 for a cooler cover that we later discovered only cost $40. He SCAMMED them.nnAfter being SCARED, DISRESPECTED, and SCAMMED our business will be going elsewhere. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a business.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. No issues with gear or anything. Had a great time floating, need to do the longer route next time.
