Lake Whittier is so beautiful!! If you stand on the side by the parking lot where the restaurants are, you'll have the best view of the lake and mountains!nThere are always lots of geese, sometimes hundreds, but they don't bother you. There's also a beautiful walking path that goes along the whole lake, as well as bridges and a cute white gazebo.
Small lake, but it's nice. Good walking loop around it. Plenty of benches. Absolutely no fish. I didn't see any signs of fish in the water.
No playground but it’s a circle and you can walk around and around with your kids and dog. Clean and full of ducks, turtles and fish. Some people do fish here. Not sure what the rules are. There are also a few pavilions to sit and have lunch. Not a good place to play with a ball as it willnEnd up in the water. There are also a few restaurants close by.
What a hidden gem! I am glad that I found this park. When I went there in the late afternoon, many families and people with dogs were walking on the path surrounding the lake. I felt very safe in this area and the views of the lake and the mountains in the back were gorgeous!
One of the best places to get your exercise!
