Our family of six (two adults, a teenager, a preteen and two kids) really enjoyed this tour of Ardoyne plantation! This is not just an empty mansion and plantation. It’s a working plantation, where the owner leased the sugarcane plantation to local farmers. All the furniture were past down through generations. The family stories that our tour guide/owner shared with us made it so much more lively and personal. She actually lives there. In addition, she provided our kids a scavenger hunt and prizes for them to keep them engaged! It was definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful home. The owners live onsite and are descendents of the original owners. They present tons of history on the plantation and the area. Definitely worth the drive out there.

This tour was everything we were looking for. There was so much history here. I would highly recommend.

We loved touring Ardoyne Plantation. I've adored the beautiful Gothic home since I was a child, and to tour it, see it, and live its history was a joy and a privilege. There are few Louisiana plantation homes that are still in the original family and have original furniture and heirlooms, and Ardoyne stands out among those few. We highly recommend!

Original family descendants still live in the house. Tour is very thorough & contents are original to the home. Not too much outside to see but I did like looking at the ac units!
