Bayouland YMCA

Most of the staff is excellent but if you’re ever there when one of the bad ones is working it can really ruin your experience. One of the staff members in particular is always on my case, first it’s don’t bring your baby in the locker rooms, then it’s don’t drip all over the workout rooms. If you have to break one of the rules no matter what, why can’t I choose which rule? Care more about her ego than helping people out.nn(Ruth Branca)nnAlthough my wife was upset with this instance, I just wanted to add that I had great experiences at this YMCA and the value is amazing. All of the staff was friendly when I went in. I've updated the review to 5 stars because my wife got over it and I believe we really enjoyed this gem in Houma. I wouldn’t waste my money there if my life depended on it .. I much rather planet fitness , at least their employees are friendly, I never in my life had so much horrible customer service until I met Kelly at your facility. Maybe you might want to look into getting her some lessons on how to treat people ..

We absolutely love the YMCA & the staff. I feel the staff go above & beyond with inspiring clients to be their best self. I love the childcare they have. My entire family loves swimming in the pool. They even have a hot tub which is really good for the body! Most of all I love the body pump classes with Christie & Kelly! These girls are super friendly every time I go. I was actually going to cancel because my funds are a little tight however I’ve reconsidered due to the great personalities in those classes. I must make it work. So whatever your Situation consider those classes if you are looking for support & a hot body!! ud83dude01

Loved summer camp there during the summer and went till I couldn't go anymore. The activities were always so fun and the counselors were always so nice and fun to be around. When I went there the age to start was four and the last year you could go was when you were twelve. There were different activities for the different age groups and the Y taught swimming lessons and I think still does and everyone got to swim at some point. There were also days when we had water slides. Those days were really fun. We played different sports and got to play at the park. What was also available was being able to play soccer for the Y and other things too. I loved the Y then and I still love it now. I will always have those memories with me and will cherish them forever.
