I love Brookside Park! A great little city park that's engrained with childhood memories for me and many that lived nearby. Just enjoyed revisiting not long ago. Baseball diamond, playground, tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court that appear well-taken care of. Great place for photos of the plaza area and downtown beyond as the nighttime lights begin to appear!⛼ud83cudf19
My friends and I came here on Fourth of July to shoot fireworks. It was fun but it’s a typical neighborhood park. There is nothing special about this park except during the winter a lot of families will bring their kids to this park to go sledding which I recently learned that it is called suicide some thing.
2 legit pickleball courts and a tennis court that doubles as a third pickleball plus volleyball and baseball!
Sledding down suicide hill is a winter wonderland of Kansas Citians and a great way to not be bummed out by the cold weather. Haven't gone since I was a kid. 10/10 would recommend
