I recently had a new attic fan motor and thermostat installed by Mr. Sylvester Thomas. He represents the best of this company. He is professional and personable and came and did the job in a timely fashion. He explained everything to my understanding and I am grateful to feel that my business was valued by this company. Though I received estimates from other companies I felt the best about ECI and went with them. I would recommend this company to others and use them again when I have electrical needs.

I worked for ECI just shy of 3 months, and during my time there i witnessed nothing but ignorance and costly mistakes. They hired me as a temp to be a helper under the pretense of being hired directly after a 3 week probationary period. For the first month, only one supervisor even knew i existed, and after 3 weeks, i asked if we were ready to move along with the hiring process and was told that due to covid the process would be delayed. Before i even went to be interviewed and go through the hiring process for the temporary agency ECI uses, i discussed with their office employee (ECI) and made it known that i had a baby on the way due in september. Complications arose in the pregnancy that cause that date to be pushed forward to mid august. When i called my foreman to let him know that i had to take my fiance to the hospital to deliver, he said that was fine just to let them know what was going on. Not 5 minutes later i get a text saying that another foreman said to tell me to not come back to work at all, that i was being fired. I called to get an explanation and was told 2 seperate lies. First it was that i was lying about where i was, then it was that there were too many people on site (mind you they just hired someone not a week earlier). Long story short, awful company, avoid if possible, if not, good luck.

My 70 yr old mom had received a ridiculous quote including unnecessary service from another local electrician to fix a problem in her rental unit. ECI came in with a realistic quote for the work that needed to be done without the upsell. Sylvester Thomas and Matt Farmer repaired a melted electrical line that involved digging a 70' trench and pulling new service to the house. While they were working the found that the almost the entire unit was being fed from a single 20A breaker when it shouldn't have been. They showed me miswiring that could result in a house fire as well. Sylvester and Matt fixed all the additional problems and still completed the work within the original time estimated. I took the information about miswiring into my moms house and found an additional 11 outlets that were wired wrong including some with melted wires and outlets. Sylvester and Matt at least saved my moms house, if not her life by being professional and knowledgeable. Thanks ECI for a job well done.

Awful, communicator used him through a home warranty and the way he wrote up the problem caused it to be an uncovered repair, not only that that authorized him to fix a bad switch and he tells me they never authorized payment so he left without fixing the problem. Had to get another technician stay away.

Called about a quote but the guy that returned my call was more concerned about the type of business I had and work I do rather than the type of installation I needed. It was a total turnoff and I don’t see using these services based off the phone call from home advisors pointless as to why they’re asking the type of business because as long as it’s commercial it should be the same. Made me feel as though it would be some price gouging going on that’s like okay you drive a nice car the price is based upon how much you can afford rather than the service being what the detailed work is. Tired of dealing with contractors like this!
