I hate to give bad reviews so I’m just going to give a constructive one. I had a pleasant phone call with the young ladies who answered the phone and scheduled my consultation / appointment however when you are going through a huge change in style for healthy hair... you really should “consult”your client and not “tell” them what you aren’t going to do because you have something better. You have to get to know your client and understand them. I asked for a shave or a fade due to damaged hair and really needed advice. Instead I feel my stylist didn’t take the time to hear me out, get to “understand” my personality and give me the results I thought I would have had after showing her pictures. I was turned away from the mirror because I’m assuming she wanted to surprise me. I hated my cut, my head had scabs from the color ( that I didn’t really want and my hair is still coming out, which was one of my issues and concerns I mentioned during the brief conversation (not consultation I requested ). Now my stylist was professional however I was not happy with my look and I decided to change it myself by doing what I initially wanted, I had to re color it and go to a barber to accentuate my female feminine features to not look masculine. My advice is to get to know and listen to your clients prior to doing the treatment so that they are comfortable through the process and you both are clear on the outcome. I gave them 2 stars because I also blame myself for trusting her and allowing her to do what was done when I should have walked out when she told me she was not going to shave or fade... “I got you “ since that’s what I felt I really wanted.

I enjoyed the experience overall. Had some detox tea and gospel music to set the environment. Shawn is a sweet lady. However, I was there for over 4 hours to get a silk press on my 4c afro that didn't last 24 hours. I've had it done elsewhere before so I know how to make it last but there was nothing I could do to save it. $75 wasted. I would go back but not for a press.

Amazing New Salon! Amazing Owner and Stylist! I meet Shawn about a year ago. I walked in needing a change to my boring black silk wrap that I had worn forever. I wanted to cut and color it. I told her what I wanted and she said “I got you”. And I have no regrets. Been coming back ever since. She is now my stylist. I love her, she has such a good spirit and she knows what she is doing. You get out of her chair confident and knowing your hair is clean and healthy. You will not be disappointed. Salon Camp Creek! Let’s go!!!!!
