Ellie's 50's Diner & Flamingo Ballroom Catering

I brought a beautiful vase of flowers to be put in the private party room to dress it up a little for a funeral. I gave them to the manager about 2 hours before the group was to arrive and asked they be put there for when people arrived. I then called and asked same gentleman to be sure my friend know they were for him to take home. To my knowledge , and I was there, the flowers were never brought to the room. I asked same gentleman again while they were serving food to please bring in the flowers and place them on the table by the door while everyone was there. He said he would go get them...he never came back in and the flowers must have disappeared. If anyone, other than this manager,, knows different please let me know. It's been 2 and a half weeks this has been bothering me. Thank you for asking about my experience.

I have not one negative thing to say here. The food, amazing. The service, phenominal. The pies........ Completely reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. From soups to entrees, you will not be disappointed. I have been here many times and will continue. I have been here just to grab pie to bring home they are so great! Must go!!!

I mentioned to my husband a couple days before St Patrick's Day wouldn't it be nice to have a Reuben sandwich. On some errands one day he took me to Ellie's and I said what are we doing and he said you're going to get a Reuben sandwich to take home for your supper. And I was thrilled it was delicious. I have been here before and have never had a bad meal

I've been coming here for 20 plus years and I love every single time I go there. The service is great, even when they are packed! The food is delicious and I always leave full. Great food at an affordable price.

Nice place, atmosphere wise. I thought at first I would get someone to ask how my meal was, (this should be the norm), especially having messed up one order two times. Having to literally raise my voice on the third attempt to have SOMEONE give me a check. Definitely will not come here again. First impressions are everything! Food was average. NY diners are much better.
