The pizza has good. The place is very modest and the restaurant is plain, just functional. The service is amicable. The bathroom could use a good cleaning. I think their main business is the deliveries.
Caruso's Pizza Center is a bit of a hike from Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. But if you love great seafood but can't stand sterile tourist traps, the extra walk is definitely worth it. Besides, it provides the perfect opportunity to explore even more of the great finds of North Beach and Telegraph Hill (such as Coit Tower, City Lights Bookstore, and some fantastic Italian-esque coffee shops).
I live Caruso's pizza. I've been going to Caruso's since I was 15 years old. It's in the same place but bigger. I just had an Italian sub the best around and reasonable. I gave five stars.
New ownership is taking this place to a higher level! Pizza is cooked perfectly and toppings are always fresh!
I ordered a Bostonian thin crust pizza with roasted red papers added. GREAT GREAT pizza. It was delivered on time and hot. So far best pizza I’ve had since moved here last year. ud83dudc4dud83dude01ud83cudf55 Keep up the good work.
