It was a pleasure to work with Ray. For starters, he offered to stay late to address our concerns re Covid and physical distancing. He was patient throughout the process as we hit shots with various clubs. He provided advice when needed and helped to guide us in making the best decision re our purchase. I finished 2019 as a 9.5 handicap with bests of 78 and 79 on my card. Visited Fore Some Golf in March 2020 and Ray fit for me a set of G410 irons and Glide wedges. Took a bit to settle in and once they did I ended up playing the best golf of my life. I got down to 8.3 at one point and ended the season as an 8.5 with 2-77's and 2-78's on my card. This week I went back to see Ray - this time to see if he could improve on my 10 year old Taylormade R11 driver and a couple of not quite so old fairway woods. Ray was very through in working with me on this and I'm very happy to say a Ping 425 Max driver, 3w and hybrid are on order! I have tested and purchased clubs, like many, from golf stores “near me”. I have purchased clubs online after reading customer “reviews”. I have taken lessons from several sources too. All of these things left me unsatisfied, with the impression that I could still play better. I finally decided to try a small local golf shop, FORE SOME Golf Shop, in Bradenton, Florida. Store owner Ray Monti has a great deal of knowledge and experience. Ray asked me questions about my game and what my goals were. Ray measured me, used speed sensor equipment, strike plates and his indoor range to determine what would be the proper shaft and club heads for my swing. I decided on Callaway hybrid irons and Ping fairway woods and driver. After using the clubs for two rounds, Ray made the final club adjustments.
