My son has been going to La Petite Academy of Vero Beach since he was two years old. It is a wonderful day care. The staff is very friendly, professional, caring, and wonderful. They communicate to me about how my son is doing and I feel very safe bringing my son here each and every day. Thank you to the La Petite staff!!! It's a great feeling being able to go to work every day and know that my son is in good hands.

My son went to la petite for about 2 years and I recently withdrew him for quite a few reasons. This school use to be under great leadership in the beginning and my son would come home so excited to tell me about his day. But something changed in October 2019 , I was basically being called to the school everyday or every other day to pick up my son due to incidents they described as My son not being himself and harming students/staff. I apologized, worked with his doctors, getting referrals for different specialists to figure what was going on. I spent plenty of days crying because I did not know what was going on with my child who HAS NEVER harmed another child or adult before. Multiple families of African American/mixed children talked about this sudden change with me about their kids also, behaviors they know was not their child's norm being reported by la petite staff. The same couple of teachers. The last straw was when I received a call stating my son sent another child to the hospital to receive stitches. When I asked for the written report the next day, NOWHERE IN THE REPORT TALKS ABOUT THE INJURY! I called the customer service line to request video footage and was told I would be getting a call from the district manager. This was before Christmas and guess what he never called! Now that my son is in a new daycare he has been doing great and no behavior problem! Please do your research when considering this school for your child. I've watched with my own eyes, teachers playing favoritism with certain kids

After a few months of collecting my thoughts about the experience I had at this daycare, I still find myself with concerns and discomfort. My child attended the daycare for 9 months. Starting off at the daycare I felt my child was in good hands, and I felt the staff was friendly. There were very few if any incident reports. The last 2 months of my childs care at the day care started giving me concerns. Incident reports started to become more frequent, my child was not mobile yet. I got reports about my child scratching areas impossible to produce a scratch , also my childs nails were cut, and the scratches would be the childs diaper areas, or I would send my child to daycare in pants that day, and they would tell me my child scratched tough the pants, yet nails were short again on inspection. I also noticed my child was not very happy being picked up or dropped off, unlike before my child would reach out and hug and smile for the daycare workers. My child had a bubbly personality, and it changed almost over night. The final concern and I think the most disturbing to me was I picked my child up from daycare, and our family went out to eat, our child attending the daycare needed a diaper change. I went to change our childs diaper , and our child began to cry uncontrollably when I went to place our child on the changing table. It took several minutes to calm our child down. The next day I went into the daycare and again I walked in on her being changed and saw my child screaming crying. It was very disturbing to me. This went on for two weeks. The sound of my childs cry would make me cry, because it sounding like my child was afraid. I finally pulled her out of the day care, and shortly after our child became bubbly again and the crying episodes of being put on a public changing table stopped. We moved our child into a new day care, we have had no incident reports about scratches or anything else for that matter. Our child has maintained a bubbly personality since the daycare switch. Personally I feel like the children attending La Petite my not be getting proper care. Personally I think the daycare needs to be looked into, as far as pop in visits. Something still does not sit right with me about this daycare, and after several months of thinking about writing this reveiw, I think parents should reconsider other daycares , or child care options.

Amazing staff! My son is learning and enjoying his days at this school. Cleanest and safest school in the area. I enrolled the same day and felt so welcomed by Director and assistant. We plan on staying until he goes to Kindergarten.
