Great scenery! The kids and I enjoyed reading and talking about all the paintings of fish along the railings of the pier. We never felt like a burden, all the fisher-men, -women, and -families were very friendly. We were very intrigued by the pelicans who were not afraid of the people at all. They seemed almost trained to wait for the people fishing to drop something. We enjoyed being able to look out and see the place on the beach where we had been playing the day before. Maintenance crews were keeping the pier walk way in pristine order. Masks were required. Nice safe place for a walk.

It’s nice to see how each year pompano beach continues to grow and the beach area becomes more enjoyable. With all the new little restaurants and parking added in addition to the pier it really is a newly rejuvenated spot to go. Last couple times we went it has been packed. All in all it’s a fun vibe and people having a great time.

A great place to take a walk & be surrounded by the sea (and it's free for now!) The fishing isn't outstanding but then again it isn't the pier's fault. With or without fish the pier is just beautiful & a fun outing for the whole family. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that even though the pier is brand new, a lot of the boards are already loose and I almost took a scary tumble.

Your family is going to love this place. Perfect environment to interact with fishermen and enjoy Pelicans diving into crystal waters you can see all the way to the bottom. Sharks, Rays, barracudas and manatees are common in the area. Kids love this pier! It's free for visitors and $6 per person for fishing. A few restaurants at the very beginning of the pier. Handycap friendly. Romantic sunrise!

This is a great spot to go. Its beautiful, easy to walk to and from different locations that is away from the masses of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and the locals value it. when it comes to fishing, it can get busy and crowded, and I have only had one incident of someone not fishing ethically, and he was berated by a group locals and asked to leave. People here are super nice and friendly but have no patience for tourist BS or people who don't respect their communities. So if you prefer family friendly and quieter spots, this is for you.
