A challenging 3 mile up-hill hike. Trail well marked with signs and flashes and easy to follow.nStunning views. The fire tower is incredible and signals the entrance to the Channels. Worth the effort. At least 5 hours total round trip.Must be experienced first hand.nnMajor thanks to the Forestry Dept. for maintaining this. Please dont litter pack it out pack it in.
The Great Channels is more of just the trailhead to get to the Channels themselves but it was a good walk and I enjoyed it. When I visited only ten parking spaces so I recomend getting there early.
A PHENOMENAL hike!!nnGot the instructions and found the hike -- it was a nice little 4-5 hour hike (we spent some time by the fire tower and playing in the slot canyons)nnWho would've thought the East had slot canyons?
