Ask for Vince! He gave us the rundown on the self serve wine pours and the different varietals! It was wonderful! Their bottle prices are phenomenal, great price for the quality and don't get me started on the patio.... It's stunning. I am from Northern Virginia and this winery is a contender in best wineries of VA!

Oh. My. Goodness. We visited the Monticello wine trail for our anniversary, and this was our absolute favorite vineyard. We came during covid, so we had to settle for the virtual tour. I'd love to come back once we can tour in person. The wines were the best we had all trip, and the property was beautiful. We were able to walk around, explore, and take pictures comfortably. We even bought some great wine to bring back home! Can't wait to come back!

One of Virginia's best vineyards! No, one of America's best vineyards. Very cozy tasting room. Amazing views. Beautiful barrel room. Very cool private tasting room, Library 1821, and a first class restaurant, Palladio. And the wines is fantastic! Great bubbles, solid Cab and a world class blend, Octagon. Mr. Jefferson would be proud.

This was the first of nine wineries we visited on the weekend. The overall experience landed it among the top two. First off, we had a choice to do a self-service tasting for a cheaper price, or more of a premium experience seated in more of a restaurant setting. We chose the latter and were glad we did. We ordered tastings, which arrived in glasses rather than medicine cups or small plastic cups. We ordered a cheese plate, which was not cheap, but had plenty for the three of us to share. The staff were nice and knowledgeable, which we found later in our weekend, was not the norm.nThis is more than a winery; it's a destination. The Governor's mansion ruins is a neat place to walk over to. The old landscaping is cool. It's a shame it burned and was never rebuilt. During nicer weather, you could picnic around the grounds. Parking was plentiful, even for our large camper.

I know nothing about vineyards but this place sure does! Very prestigious. Just wish the hours were longer! The latest to taste wine and eat food was 4:30 but that's the only negative! The Nebbiolo suit is the cutest cottage escape. With a bottle of wine with treats waiting for us, it was everything I imagined. Make sure to watch the stars at night and listen to the frogs!
