We had a brush fire behind our house today, and I have to say how incredibly impressed I am with the firefighters who responded!! As the daughter of a retired state trooper and friend of many police officers and firefighters, I've always thought very highly of the work theses men and women do as well as the dedication they exhibit. I've also always felt God has a particularly mighty group of angels watching over them. But today, as I watched the fire get closer to our backyard and debated whether to leave the house because of the smoke and flames I saw, I realized that maybe I've had it all wrong... Maybe you firefighters (and police officers) are actually angels yourselves! That's certainly how it appeared in the midst of my argument with myself over what to do because, as I was looking at the smoke thicken, I saw the firefighters walking through the smoke and directing a truck through to put out the fire! And I kept watching as they took every effort necessary to make sure it was thoroughly extinguished. It was like watching a movie, and I'm not embarrassed to say that I thanked God for them right then and there and asked Him to watch over and bless every single one of y'all!! Thanks so much for all of your efforts!!
