Definitely a hidden gem. So many interesting signs and well kept. Trails going in every direction. Will come back soon.
Nice tucked away park with an interesting history and great overlooks. However, the map online is surprisingly bad (there were a few times we found it completely wrong) and the trails were really poorly marked, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the park.
I came to take photos of the historical markers on the grounds and was not disappointed.
Lovely place to stretch your legs and get some history while social distancing! We went on a Sunday and brought our dog. It wasn't too busy so it was easy to keep away from others. We brought a lunch and hung out on one of the benches to enjoy the cool day. We even saw a few deer!nnWe couldn't initially figure out whether we could drive in past the entry sign since it was so narrow. We only saw cars coming out and thought it might be a one-way. We parked on the side of the road just outside. Turns out you could drive further in, but we didn't mind getting a bit more walking in.
A lot of trails, some easy and some advanced. A lot of historical signs to explain the battle. Very nice park.
