Excellent woodland getaway within Leesburg! Lots of great nature trails, some leading to the Potomac. Gorgeous in the Spring when the Virginia Bluebells bloom.
Our 3 year old loves this playground. Easy access to walking trails (they are often very muddy though) and a nice pavilion with picnic tables.
A plesant place for a stroll with friends, family or with pets.nThere is a pretty big enough play area for kids.nA small picnic area that seats about 20-30 people next to the play area that is covered.nA mini hiking trail that goes parallel with the river. The trek area does have some steep slopes.
The playground is fine, but the trail system is really what makes this a great park. Good trails for kids and for running and they connect over to balls bluff park.
winded up going off trail purposely by the river. crazy steep climb to get back to the trail. made it more fun.
