I planned to use a rental for seeing the sites for 5 days. The car was filthy, had body damage, and they tried to charge me $40+ a day for insurance (basic level) which was only $10 per day through expedia. They tried to charge me 16.99 a day for a toll pass. I rented the car through Expedia for $140 for the 5 days and when I showed up to get the car with all the upgrades it would have been $400 additional dollars. I was so nervous to drive the car I parked it at my room and did not use it again until it was time to drop it off. I travel a lot and rent cars often. I've never felt so intimidated.

Sat on the phone over 30 minutes to extend a rental after having waited over 30 minutes to pick it up originally. I was hassled that I selected the wrong car even though I went to thw correct space. The location had one person taking care of paperwork with only two people in front of me. The process is clearly not working and the counter is under staffed.

I’d give negative stars if I could.nnI arrived a day early on military orders and as such tried to pick my rental car up a day early, only to be told there were no cars available to release a day early. There were literally hundreds of cars in the parking lot sitting idle and I asked if they were all going out the door in the next 24 hours. After asking that, he said he could cancel my reservation and rent me the very same car I’m supposed to pick up in 24 hours under a new reservation, but it will now cost an additional $2,000 more than the original DoD reservation. I honestly couldn’t tell if the guy was incompetent or being malicious, or some combination of the two.nnNo wonder the parent company is bankrupt. They can’t allow me to pick up a car already available 24 hours early without charging me an extra $2,000. Who does business like that?
