11/10 the best place EVER. Always such a nice, clean park with a lovely little pebble beach by the river!
Great place to take our fur babies to play & have a great time! It's also a great pokemon spot! An it's a famous place to get family photos taken.
The trails were kind of muddy but the dogs loved them and had fun with the dogs in the park.
Went for the beach, which was about 1/4 mile from the parking lot. It would be wise to pack light, but we took a stroller, a cooler and a beach bag between two adults a 5 year old and a toddler. We managed. The beach is rocky and the current is pretty swift, but the water was clear. Good for an hour or two of hanging out on a hot day.
Excellent park with dog park areas, picnic shelters, many trails of varying skill levels, creeks, and a beach on Rivanna River.
