Well maintained and easy, dog friendly trail on the James River. Great place to bird watch.

A nice but smaller park that is close to the river. A “bark park” is also onsite to let the doggies off the leash. Nice views with a quick walking trail near the river for some quick exercise or just a calming minute of relaxing in the car.

Nice park for walking and biking. Has very nice marked, rock trails There is a big open field that would be great for kite flying when the time comes, and a dog park as well. Definitely could use some more playground equipment though if you are planning on bringing small children.
