Booked a weekend at the end of September 2020 at this campground. It was very nice. Clean bathrooms. Clean sites. They weren't selling firewood though and that was tricky to find late in the day.. no place close by sold it. Note that they do lock the gate by 10pm. Our friends arrived late and ended up sleeping in their car outside the gate. This happened after they traveled up the dark road to the right of the gate, didn't find the camp ground that way, and eventually returned to the gate and parked. The campground was quiet when we were there. No cell service at all. No wifi. Definitely would return.
Stumbled upon this campground randomly while traveling the Appalachian Byway coming out of TN. Place was very clean and pretty! Camp host was super nice and they have warm showers which was nice after 3 days of no showers! I believe it’s a seasonal camp ground though.
Nice campground with a decent amount of space between camps. Our site had 2 platforms - one for the picnic table and one for the tent with a few steps down to each. Clean, well maintained bathrooms.
Beautiful, peaceful and clean campground. We visited last year and the hosts provided free firewood. This year was a different host and no firewood, so we were not prepared for that, but no biggie there was plenty of wood laying around for our first night. The rest of the week we went to Marion and bought wood. We also killed our car battery listening to the radio one night. In The morning the host was super helpful and asked other campers for jumper cables, and found somebody to give us a jump. We love this campground and will definitely be back!
