EDIT: Revisited this hotel in January 2021 and was extremely pleased with the renovations! They tore out the carpet and replaced with laminate, I wish all hotels would do this, as hotel carpets are some of the nastiest things I can imagine. They also painted and replaced all the furniture. The place was very clean. If you get a room far from the lobby let the water run for a little while, the hot water heater must be by the lobby and it will come and be hot, just give it a minute or two to arrive. Overall I'm very impressed with the care taken to update this hotel, and I really like how clean and sharp everything is. I've stayed at the nearby Quality Inn (3 years ago), if they haven't also renovated then Motel 6 definitely is the best pet-friendly hotel in Hillsville.nnOld review from 2 years ago: I was in room 130. The faucet in the tub doesn't work so if you wanted a bath, tough luck. The shower worked but controls were less than intuitive even with the homemade label because it took a full 5 minutes for hot water to arrive to see if I was operating it correctly. Granted, it was a bitterly cold day, and I suspect the hot water tank is far from the room for hot water to have taken so long to arrive. Otherwise the room was clean and the price is right. I would stay here again, but probably request a different room.

Great place to stay. If you need to stop at any hour and you're in the vicinity I wouldn't hesitate. Great people, clean and right off the highway. I have an 85 ft long vehicle and they made sure I had plenty of room to get in and out. Once again thank you. Hope to get back again someday.

Very nice staff. Pet friendly. Clean room, fair price. Functioning heater and shower with hot water.

We have been visiting my son in Virginia for a month. We stayed here 8 times & every time was great. The rooms are clean & the staff is so friendly. The owners father is always around to answer questions & help out in any. We had a truck & 20' trailer they allowed us to park there.They have nice taste and cable. Very clean!!!!
