I went up during the day and also at night. You can see the star they call the Roanoke star from miles away at nighttime. During the day you can look out and see the view of the city from on top of the hill and the view at nighttime is breathtaking. They say the star is the biggest man made star in the world, well, I don't know if this is true but it's very beautiful along with the whole hilltop views of the city of Roanoke, Virginia.
Was fun plenty of space only slightly sad some of the lights were out but I totally understand. Still very beautiful. We came just before sunset wow colors of the sky amazing
always a cool place to go and get away for the day.
Several things to do up here and a great view of Roanoke from the overlook. Well worth the drive.
Fun for family to go walk trails, visit zoo, and enjoy the view
