We were visiting Chincoteague for the weekend when I fell off my bike and split my chin open, requiring stitches. Riverside Memorial was the closest ER since it was a Sunday and all walk ins were closed. There was zero wait and I was taken right away. Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly. A wonderful PA Student named Kim did my stitches like a pro! It was 100% best case scenario and I highly recommend them for an emergency!

First of all, the nursing staff is first class. They are pleasant and helpful.nSome of the ER physians are the reason two stars are missing. My wife has been to your ER sevral times over the past months. The last visit was for abdomen pain and cramps, followed by severe diarrhea. We were told you only treat emergencies, pain was something you can talk to your primary care. On the weekend primary care is non existent. On a good day they are hard to contact.

My husband was a patient last week. I would like to thank everyone for his care. they took great care. did there best for him, friendly.neven with mask being worn at all times you could hear it in there voices.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been here previously and was very dissatisfied. Now, even more! today, a relative went here with all the signs of COVID-19, took the rapid test, came back negative, which the Dr said was probably wrong, since they are not reliable. Did they do a blood test? Give an IV or anything so they would not feel sick as a dog? No they diagnosed a headache and said come back in 2 days if you don't feel better. Did I mention the person was triaged before they made the trip in?. So now, they get billed for an ER visit for no reason.nThe doctors are antiquated and jaded, the nurses don't care and overall bad service. Take my advice, go 100 miles north or south before you go here. I was happy to see a new hospital come to the shore, but it looks like they should have brought new medical staff too!

After having low potassium of 2.9 and albumin of 5 and what they thought was hyperventilating and somatic symptom disorder, I was given potassium supplements and was sent home without doing more testing. I was nautious after eating prior to low potassium finding and after for a long time often causing me to slur my speech and had difficulty concentrating. I had a virtual appointment later on with a doctor who advised me to go to ER but because they called it somatic symptom disorder I don't want to go to that ER because they don't seem to care.
