I love the Chesapeake YMCA in Chincoteague. The staff is great...always friendly and helpful. I feel they have done everything possible to make the environment clean and safe for their clients during the Covid 19 outbreak . I love the large variety of equipment for working out. I always look forward and enjoy my workout. Keep up the good work. Hats off to Katie for doing an excellent job!
Friendly staff, affordable rates, open early, plenty of room and machines. Also that it is more than just a gym. Very community and family oriented. Classes and activities for all ages, preschool thru seniors. And transportation.
Great equipment in good shape, friendly staff, space to do a number of workouts with and without the machines. Great YMCA all around!
This is an excellent facility. The staff is always nice. I don't think you could ask for more. I am a little concerned about their national reciprocity agreement. Being a member at the York Co. YMCA it is a bit much to have to pay to use the Y here when visiting. The Y in Nags Head NC only charges extra during the summer season. The Y here on Chincoteague was allowing 10 visits per year. They did not fall under the Virginia state reciprocity agreement since Chincoteague is affiliated with a Maryland base YMCA association. Since I have a home here I'm hoping for a welcoming attitude on my future trips to the Y. It is truly a great place to work out !
