Thought I already did a review. So - get the freaking oatmeal! It is the best. Food each day of my week long visit was consistent. Owner and staff are great! Good people.
Honestly was not going to eat there based on how it looked from the outside. But we were pleasantly surprised. All the food was great and fresh. It's country cooking and it's cheap and fresh. Friendly service.
We were looking for a place to eat innBedford. Stopped here becausena lot people there thought it wouldnbe a good place to eat. We orderednHamburger Steak. We got a smallnround hamburger with gravy on top.nmashed taters were good. Waitressnfriendly but long wait on food. Portions were small for price. Wenhaven't been back.
Nice little country restaurant. Friendly staff. Food was good, exactly what you would expect.
My husband and I have lived in Thaxton for 13 years, (and counting) but we had never eaten here. We were turned off by the look if the exterior. Shame on us! We've now had breakfast here and I was amazed! The eggs were SO fresh and the yolks a gorgeous yellow. The hash browns tasty and the bacon yummy! We also had fried taters with onions, a cheese omelet and coffee. All cooked perfectly! Fresh, very tasty and filling!
