A nice little welcome center that has some historical relics on display. Along with a plethora of information on their town and other towns in the surrounding area. Bathrooms were also clean so that was nice.
This is not your average welcome center. There are lots of neat things and the staff here was wonderful.
Very helpful and polite staff. They have an extensive library of brochures and maps, a large, detailed model of the D-Day Memorial close by, and a 750 gallon pumper truck from 1926 on display. Definitely stop by if you'll be in or around Bedford for any length of time. You'll get lots of information about business and attractions in the surrounding area.
Friendly staff who obviously enjoy their jobs...and they were even open EARLY!
What a nice welcome center this is! We went during the holiday season, and they had a large number of Christmas trees displayed by various community organizations and establishments. Using the trees as a game to occupy the kids, the center created a scavenger hunt where the kids had to find certain objects at each display, leaving parents some time to talk to the center staff and read about the region. It was a sparkling delight to behold! MOUNDS of literature available here to help you locate many special places and events throughout the year. I highly recommend a stop here!
