I couldn’t wait to try the new restaurant Letty's Tavern, and it did not disappoint. I had never visited when it was Kennett Inn and I know there’s been some renovations since but it’s absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant but also casual. It’s like feeling comfort but also feeling like you’re really treating yourself to a nice evening...and you are!nnThe service was impeccable. It’s really hard to believe that they’ve only been operating for two nights. Water was refilled often and all of the team members there were spot on. One of the owners was constantly on the floor helping to seat people, serve, pickup dishes. I admire that immensely. Our waiter was so friendly and made us feel very welcomennThe beer menu is very nice! As a beer lover I appreciated that they had both the classics and some great craft options. The wine list was solid and I’m told by my boyfriend that the cocktails were potent and some of the best he’s ever had. They also look pretty, which makes it even better!nnWe started with some fresh cut fries and onion rings. The house made ranch is everything. Just trust me! This isn’t your standard Hidden Valley. This is hidden heaven! Both small plates, as they are called, are good sized portions and REALLY good. Talk about the perfect fry. Believe me on this, I love every form of potatoes and these are the best.nnThe two adults ordered the Korean Chicken Sandwich. The flavor was out of this world. My kids each got a burger. Everyone must go there and try one! Holy moly...best burger ever. True perfection. They nailed it out of the park.nnWe will 100% be returning. I wanted to try the honey soy chicken but the waiter told us it takes a bit longer and can feed two people. I really want to give it a go when we don’t have the kids with us (they are impatient). I also can’t wait to try the steak.nnI was able to make reservations on Open Table and I recommend doing the same because they are going to continue to be busy with service and food this great.

So my family just got dinner at Letty's Tavern on their opening night and it rocked. We recently moved from West Chester because the college vibe kinda overwhelmed the whole scene but we were missing the restaurants there big time.  Most of the restaurants we've been to in Kennett Square so far were on the stuffy side and served food that I haven't eaten since the 80's. Their drinks were garbage too. Letty's restored a historic house and redid the whole inside. Looks great! The servers were attentive and could make credible recommendations on the menu. The food was ridiculously great and had inspired spins on traditional food like an Asian style fried chicken sandwich. The drinks were strong, modern and tasty. The owner's partner was the Pastery chef so we tried the cake and was moist and yummy. My wife and I were dueling with our forks over the last piece. The owner (Jacob) stopped by to all the tables and checked on how folks were doing. Love to see the passion of a new business owner who really cares about his customers. Ballsy for them to open with COVID still killing business left and right. Show this dude some support and enjoy a kick ass meal while you're at it.
