Woodrow Wilson Elementary School

The teacher's are great but the front desk lady with the glasses is a beast. She answers everything with a horrible attitude and speaks condescendingly to you. Any question you have, she will act like you are stupid for not knowing. She ignores you even when you are standing right in front of her face just so she can continue to socialize with her co-workers. I have NEVER heard of anyone who has had a good experience with her. She is a terrible person and I don't know why they still keep her. If you want your child to have a great experience at school, don't take them to this one. They don't let them have fun with holidays or end of school days. There's no mini graduations or anything special for them when the school year ends, they are not allowed to celebrate any holidays (they are not allowed to dress up for Halloween, they are not allowed to bring valentine's day cards, no mother's day or father's day things, and no Christmas presents or activities), and they don't even sing happy birthday to the student's even if they bring treats and things for their classmates. I know these things don't have anything to do with their education but I know that all of those things I mentioned were something I always looked forward to when I was going to school and they are something I want my child to experience. Also, let's not forget to mention the lice outbreaks in this school are ridiculous! My child caught it from her classmates over 4 times! They even had to send out newsletters about how to control it. She never had any problems with lice until she started coming to this school. We got completely rid of them only for them to return in full force a month later!

I have qualified for free lunch every year. Even though this year I haven't the school FAILED to notify me about it until now ! 2 weeks before xmas! Saying I owe 70$ plus more for the future ! When I called to talk to the lunch lady I could barley understand her like most of the school staff!!! She said they are very behind on their letters. Or could you say "not sending any at all!!!" What a joke . Now my son has 70$ + taking out of his xmas because they are lazy and don't properly inform people

IT IS THE BEST SCHOOL THERE IS BECAUSE IT HAS NO bullies and there are my BEST friends named Monica and Wendy and still wish I was there .I love that school.:-( :-)

Office workers have no patience with the kids there. 11 yrs of seeing it. It's very sad they bad mouth them while they are there or in front of other parents. They never have a nurse on site. Pick Up Is horrrible. There's always a reck. Kids almost getting hit. And this is right out the door, b4 they can even get to the crossing guard. You can never request or change teacher's unless you right the principal explaining why. The majority of the staff treats parents as if you're a student that's up to no good. The lack of respect for there fellow students and parents needs much improvement. Not all kids nor parents are up to no good...

I went to this school with some friends about 9 years ago and I still remember all my friends names but for privicy reasons I wont sat them I really miss this school.
