They shouldn't be allowed to close these places! We the people own these places, and pay our tax dollars to keep them open! Shame on you Washington

The trail leading to Deadman’s Cove was closed due to repair/restoration but we were still able to get a great view of it from our the trail going up to the lighthouse. It’s a beautiful little gem tucked in this area. It’s pretty obvious why it’s called Deadman’s Cove. It was stunning watching the large waves crash into the rocks in this cove. The sounds were so soothing and the area just serene.nnI wish the trail was open so that we could get on the beach, but it was still nice to see the surf from above.

Such an unimaginably stunning place to explore. Went for the first time in October 2017, the whole state park is a little like a wonderland, and this cove feels like your own personal hideaway. Makes you want to build a ship out of the driftwood and sail out to sea

The cove area was closed during the time I visited the area but looking down on the cove was like sneaking a peek into an island paradise beach! So pretty. :) There is an interpretive center as well as an old lighthouse in the same area, a little something for everyone.

Closed, but still cool. You can still see the cove pretty well from a few vantage points. Continue on to the lighthouse for a nice little hike. I would high recommended this to anyone who is having second thoughts.
