This is the place and these are the kind of people you WANT in your children’s lives. Rarely do you find such passionate, caring and intelligent partners In the community that take such interests in the welfare of your children. Dan, Wendy and the instructors do what they do because they understand providing a place of thoughtful instruction and guidance, whether gymnastics, jujutsu or during the after school (sometimes day school, too) program, is impactful in ways unimaginable. These kids get tutored, mentored and nurtured while growing into young people the world is better for. I can’t rate them high enough as the services they provide and the affordable rates are second to none.

Best place to put your children if you want them in a structured and safe place. They keep your kid on point and help you teach them respect. Not only that but they also help with their self confidence and healthy habits. My bonus baby has become stronger and a lot more confident little lady! My youngest will attend MW when she is old enough!

I called to ask a few questions and the lady answering the phone was rude AF would rather my kid go anywhere other than here.

Totally unorganized and unprofessional. My kid came home crying everyday because she was getting yelled at for things other children were doing or put in timeout as a group. She is sensitive, but she’s a really good kid. I was told she would have help with homework and an opportunity to do homework; they cram all the kids who aren’t in an activity together on a couch to “do homework” and they aren’t allowed to do anything else while the other kids are in class. She was yelled at for having her phone out to time her reading (she has to read 30 mins a day in 5th grade). Twice when I was there to pick her up the “instructors” were yelling at the kids for being loud or being in areas they weren’t supposed to be, off the couch I guess. The other days they were sitting on the gym mats on their own phones. We went to the administrator because our daughter was so upset and unhappy there and unenrolled her in person. She wasn’t enrolled for even 3 full weeks but we still have to pay 2 months of tuition. Which is over 500$, for the worst after school program I have ever seen. Don’t waste your time or money. The public school after school program is hands down better, so is the YMCA program.nnOh yeah. She had to do burpees to be able to get a drink of water.

Mountain Warrior Academy was responsible for watching my daughter this summer. While I loved their outdoor, movement-based philosophy (and let’s be honest, their low cost), she was repeatedly in unsafe, unsupervised situations where she was exposed to inappropriate subject matter and when I took it to them in good faith I was told it couldn’t possibly have happened under their watch... and by all means I could report them to the state as they are not a state licensed entity.nnOn a related note, I can’t stress enough how important it is to create a safe place for your children to talk. My daughter’s reason for not taking it up with camp officials? She was afraid to be punished with burpees.
