Busu Astoria

We visit Astoria often, and thought we had found all of the best spots. Then we found Busu! Wow! This is now one of our must-visit spots, and I can't wait to come back.nWe ordered the Okonomiyaki and the Yakisoba--both with shrimp (they have vegetarian and vegan options as well). Lights out flavor. Great value. Kind service from someone who clearly cares about the food. Stop reading and get there!

Amazing food! Kenzo is great, personable and knowledgeable about his food and it shows in how good it is. We ordered yakisoba just before he closed along with a pickle sampler. I wish I could have this at home, but now I have another reason to come back to Astoria.

I can't say enough! Delicious! Great quality! First time trying it and it will be a regular visit. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients!

AMAZING!! We were so hungry but BuSu didn’t open for another half hour. A local said it would be worth the wait and she couldn’t have been more right! The food smelled so good we almost didn’t make it to our destination before we popped the lids open. Five delicious stars!!!

The Shrimp Miso and Tofu Miso were excellent! Had the Pickle Sampler, and I must say, the pickled shiitake mushrooms were sublime! Delicate, yet meaty. The Miso is hearty, and unlike any I’ve had before, which made it so much better on a cool, rainy, blustery day. Total comfort food! Enjoyed talking to the chef/owner. Best wishes to you!! Farm/ocean-to-table will soon be a reality.
