Ecola State Park

There is an active landslide that poses danger if you go in forbidden areas. We saw an elk herd grazing In the grass right next to the parking lot! The landslide allows viewing of a small waterfall further on down the beach. This has always been a wonderful place for the high cliff views and nice for whale spotting.

Primarily a hiking park, the views of Crescent Beach are phenomenal. Mind the warning on the main hiking trail about being for advanced hikers only; it really is. The trail was very muddy, very rugged, washed out in parts, a lot of elevation loss and gain, a bunch of fallen trees that you have to climb over, and a couple of places where it's easy to lose the trail. Not for kids. Crescent Beach is beautiful though, and if you can make it down over the trails, it's well worth the trip.

Awesome secluded cove. Great access to the beach. Loved it!! If you haven't gone, put this on your to do list!

Beautiful place to visit! Quick stop before heading to Cannon Beach. We didn’t do the trail as we got there in the late afternoon but definitely worth passing by for the view.
