Klamath Falls KOA Journey

The day we traveled toward north toward Klamath Falls was extremely windy forcing us to stop early. We were happy to find this campground! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The park is well maintained. There is a dyke that rose above the park where we parked next and that helped protect the RV and slide awnings from the high winds overnight!!!nnThe propane and diesel available at the park entrance was great to have before heading north thru the cascades. The diesel and propane price was very reasonably priced.

Busy place. Lowest cost for propane in town. Nice on the one hand but always a line which causes some traffic congestion. I am not a fan of the closeness of the sites. Your neighbors septic hose is right out your front door. At least that is the way it was with our site and our trailer.

Website says tent sites are open, and despite there being nothing in the way of those sites, and not even needing a tent or any other amenities except a paid spot to park for the night, I'm told the tent sites aren't open for at least another month.nnBathroom codes not changed often enough. When I last overpaid to park my car in a full hookup space, there was a homeless man passed out in the shower who had clearly been there for hours (what happened to the hourly bathroom checks?)nnNot very accommodating or attentive. I even tried to call 5 times regarding the passed out man in the shower and the call was never answered.

I absolutely love the people that work at the KOA in Klamath Falls they are so nice and helpful always with the great big smile and kind words and just make you feel right at home they always have the best price on propane
