Always stunning even with the smoke. Good worn trails. Not to difficult.

Absolutely awesome lookout, you can see the entire valley up here. Great spot to camp and hang out with family and/or friends. Although the road up is somewhat rough

Beautiful place. Rented this out for a night with the girlfriend and had a blast enjoying the view. We also saw some big horned sheep a stone throw from the watch tower.

This was a great hike. The views are spectacular. There is plenty of stuff still alive, plus some very burnt areas that are really cool to see too. The first good place we found to camp was at the first lake, about 5 miles in. Past that is where you really start running into more burnt areas and the trail becomes harder to follow. There are pink markers and for the most part you can see the next one you go towards to stay on the trail from the one you are standing at. There were a couple that we had to do some looking for to stay on track, so just be aware of where you are in relation to the previous marker and you will be fine. Otherwise, just follow the streams back down to the lake if you get lost. There is a lot of suet up towards the second lakes, if you go up after it's been raining, or you are bear some streams, be very careful. It can be very slippery and soft. Well worth the hike, go do it! Pack it in, pack it out!
