Blodgett Campground

Beautiful canyon hiking with a small campground. Limited cell service but it does work. Lots of activity as there is a trailhead parking lot right across the bridge and this is very close to town (Hamilton). Camping is free with a 5 night limit. Sites are paved.

Small (very few spots) but heavenly - esp the walk in site. Be sure to report to site host.

wow!! this was the best campground I've ever stayed at!! beautiful beautiful views and only six sites (get there early!) so it was quiet. there's a creek to wade in and a nice hike. bathrooms available

Campground fills up quickly. If you drive all the way back there and it is full you can sleep in your truck in the parking lot right outside the campground. You actually pass the parking lot on you way into the campground. There is a little Forest Service bathroom with a single toilet, no water, at the edge of the parking lot. There is also a nice picnic table at the edge of the parking lot. It is a fine place to stay as long as you can sleep in your truck/car. We drove down there and the campground was full, so we stayed right there in the parking lot for a couple days. No problems. This is the trailhead for the climbing in Blodgett Canyon.

Was a great small quite campground. Bare basics for amenities, but what else do you need when you're camping. A few decent walking trails right from the campground.
