I really enjoyed this hike. I used to be a fire fighter and knew about the story of Ed Pulaski. So to visit in person was special. The hike itself was a little more difficult than expected. It is mostly uphill. However it is well maintained and follows a nice babbling creek the whole way. Nice shade for most of the trail too. A great 2 or 3 hour side hike when visiting Wallace ID.

This is a wonderful and beautiful hike. The bridge at about 3/4 mile was our favorite spot and fairly easy to get to even with small children. Beyond that bridge there are more spots with water to look at but not as nice as at the bridge. The end of the hike has a nice seating area and you can see the tunnel entrance. There are nice interpretive and informative signs throughout. The is a must visit location.
