Camped there in September 2020. Campground is open sage, no privacy. Vault toilets were very clean. Highway 84 runs on 2 sides of the campground and vehicles with a loud exhaust are heard a long time but at least the night was quiet. Campground provides good access to north end of the Bear Trap Canyon trail along the Madison River
great area to visit, river is fantastic with lots of rafting and fly fishing. campground is basic with outhouses, fire rings and picnic tables. there is fresh water available. road in is gravel, a little washboardy for about a mile. area is wide open without an shade trees. lots of room between sites
