In a bygone era these mines were thought to have supernatural powers. It wasn't until the 1930s that radon, the active agent was finally. discovered and the heretofore magic component to this place and others like it was finally pinpointed. Quack doctors of the era capitalized on the ignorance of the people. I can imagine there would be some kind of jolt to a persons system plus maybe a crude type of radiation therapy gave a temporary fix to whatever ailed you.nToday in this modern era we know any amount of radon gas is a health hazard. Radon is a known carcinogen. Homes are considered unsafe and an expensive project to remedy. This mine is an old relic from yesteryear yet the old lore and trinketries they have for sale appears to turn a profit. Please do not substitute old folk remedies for modern medicine.

I love this place. I travel nearly fifteen hundred miles to get here.nThe .one itself has tremendous healing properties. The water is some of the best I have ever tasted I'm addition to it's healing properties.nThis is most wonderful because the owners are totally devoted to helping the ailing & to serving God. This after all is what life should be about

BEWARE FOR YOUR SAFETYnOn 8/19/20. We were at this park. My wife was doing laundry and a large man entered the laundry room and proceeded to yell at my wife, swearing at her and calling her names and pushed her down. The owner of the park, Chang, did not want us to call the police because the attacker is a “seasonal resident” and told Chang that he didn't say or do anything to my wife but admitted he was there. We called the police anyway and Chang stood up for the attacker so the police couldn't do anything without a witness or video. So the culprit got away with it, with the park owner's help! BEWARE OF YOUR SAFETY HERE, no protection from the owners. I'm sure this isn't the only time this guy has assaulted a senior. If you HAVE to go to this “radon health center” please don't go anywhere alone or arm yourself!

We had a great time with our stay at the campground. We ate dinner twice in the clubhouse. If I were the owners I would highly consider getting rid of the Confederate flag in there, otherwise it was a nice establishment

If nobody is there to greet you in the office you can still go in. Just follow the directions on the cave door and enter. Its so cool and nice inside. You are allowed to fill your water bottles with their spring for free! Wehad fun. We met some people who came daily for 30 days in a row to reap the medicinal benefits.
