First stop is dead horse cave. Has stairs and cement benches along the inside. We parked the vehicle at dead horse and walked to tea kettle cave. Much like what all the reviews say if you don't have 4 wheel or high clearance vehicle you might not make it. We saw big trucks taking the road slowly as we were walking. It was great weather got there around 3pm and there We ran into about 3 others parties while hanging out at the cave, little chilly once inside the cave. We had a headlamp, but your phone flashlight will be enough.nIf you want the epic #doitforthegram shot get there when the sun is at its highest point. The walk was easy just following the road no coverage so if you go during hotter temperatures, be careful.nIt was a cool experience. As someone who is not athletic, short and a clutz this more fairly easy to crawl down and get back out.
A great cave to explore but be prepared before heading out. The road is rough. I consider myself a fairly diligent Subaru Outback driver and there were some rocks on this road that I would have rather not have driven over. Google Maps will try to take you over a canal on a bridge that does not exist.
I'm fat, short, and afraid of heights. Pretty fun but I had to have help reaching a ledge. Would do again ^_^
Pretty cool but don't trust google to get you there. It had us try and cross a canal with no bridge. Go out canal road from Bliss idaho and fallow it until you cross the canal then turn right. Also 4x4 or high clearance vehicle recommended..... And good tires, lots of lava rock.
Cool place, but DO NOT WALK ON THE FERNS. They will not grow back if people keep walking on them. Also, the road to get there is horrendous. Better have a high clearance vehicle!
