Amazing hike around a beautiful lake. We logged just over 4 miles and there was a decent hill across the far side. We saw a bull elk up close and personal in the forest on the hillside. Great hike.

Absolutely beautiful, I enjoyed ever second of walking this trail.

Nice little area. Things at beginning of trail are even nice. Seems like shorter and less busy trail over to inspiration point.

This is the best trailhead to use for the Cascade Canyon Trail, one of the best hikes in the park. (You can use it for the Jenny Lake Loop as well, but there are many other places you can hop on that trail.) The whole thing was BREATHTAKING, I mean, it makes you stop in your tracks and go WOW. We hiked the Cascade Canyon trail in May and it was warm but VERY snowy up in the canyon. We wore good boots and tromped through almost continuous snow once we got into the canyon. Oh and the air smells amazing. We saw tons of marmots and a pica. Definitely take a short detour to Hidden Falls- they're beautiful.

An easy fantastic trail with lake and mountain views. Keep your eyes open for the resident trail moose. Went there 2 days in a row and and saw a bull the first hike and a cow the second hike. Also a pair of friendly yellow bellied marmots.
