A great school, my great grandfather William and Sarah Briggs settled here from England, three generations of us went to school and lived in this town, my father and uncles set many track and field records, sadly most got removed when school switched to metric. But I guess it's easier to put up new records instead of trying to beat the old ones....nnI remember Robert Bowers the principle walking down the hallways with a cigar, Mr. D and his paddle, which I was the recipient on a few occasions.nnThe old playground with the metal slides, the merry go round, and the jungle gym, back when kids were taught to be tough and walk it off, my how times have changed.nnThe little ice cream stand on the corner by the Rudd's house, eating dinner at the Loading Chute, milkshakes at the Sports Shop, the arcade, rodeo time at the fair grounds, Scouts.
